Medscheck

At Dover Pharmacy we offer private consultations with our pharmacist to discuss your health and medications. This MedsCheck service is free to eligible patients and fully subsidised by the Australian government. Speak to one of our staff members today to discuss your eligibility for this service and to book an appointment.

Diabetes Medscheck

Have you recently been diagnosed with diabetes? Are you currently taking anti-diabetic medication and would like more information on how to better manage your treatment? 

A Diabetes MedsCheck consultation allows you to have a private one-on-one discussion with our pharmacist and will provide you with better understanding of your medications and the condition. Like MedsCheck, this service is free to eligible patients and fully funded by the Australian government.

Home Medicines Review

Upon referral from your GP, you may be eligible for a free home visit by our pharmacist to review your medications and identify any medication problems. Working together, your pharmacist and GP will then develop a medication management plan for you, with a focus on quality use of medicines. If you are living in the community (nursing home residents are not eligible), and take regular medications, please speak to our staff about this service.

Absence Certificates

Are you unwell or caring for someone who is unwell and unable to go to work? Do you require proof of legitimate absence from work? Consultations for an Absence from Work Certificate are conducted in store. No appointment is required. Absence from Work Certificates may be issued for short periods of leave, maximum 2 days, and cannot be backdated. Certificates are issued in accordance with the evidence requirements under section 107 (3) of the Fair Work Act 2009.

Personalised Medication Packs

We can help you manage your medications with medication packs (Webster-Paks). Medication packs are a safe and simple way to ensure you or your loved ones are taking their medication correctly giving you peace of mind.

Blood Pressure MOnitorinG and Atrial Fibrillation Screening

Our trained staff can take your blood pressure, screen for Atrial Fibrillation, and advise you about cardiovascular health.
